What’s your wish for America’s future?
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, Lehigh University Art Galleries invited PK–12 students from the Bethlehem Area School District to share their wishes, hopes, experiences, and visions for the future of their community and country.
Students were invited to consider:

Imagine the future: What kind of America do you want to live in? What would you change, protect, or create?

Share what matters: What people, places, ideas, or experiences are important to you?

Tell your story: What cultures, communities, identities, and experiences shape who you are?
A selection of 14 student artworks have been reproduced and installed on outdoor billboard panels along the South Bethlehem Greenway, where they will be on view from August 2026 through June 2027. Together, these works offer a diverse collection of young perspectives on belonging, community, identity, place, and the future of America.
This Land: Our Community is presented in connection with This Land: Reimagining the United States of America on its 250th Anniversary, on view in Lehigh University Art Galleries, Main Galleries inside the Zoellner Arts Center.
